Unacknowledged: An Expose of the World’s Greatest Secret

“Unacknowledged” focuses on the historic files of the Disclosure Project and how UFO secrecy has been ruthlessly enforced-and why. The best evidence for extraterrestrial contact, dating back decades, is presented with direct top-secret witness testimony, documents and UFO footage, 80% of which has never been revealed anywhere else. The behind-the-scenes research and high-level meetings convened by Dr. Steven Greer will expose the degree of illegal, covert operations at the core of UFO secrecy. From briefings with the CIA Director, top Pentagon Generals and Admirals, to the briefing of President Obama via senior advisor John Podesta, chairman of the Hillary Clinton Campaign, we take the viewer behind the veil of secrecy and into the corridors of real power where the UFO secrets reside. The viewer will learn that a silent coup d’état has occurred dating back to the 1950s and that the Congress, the President and other world leaders have been sidelined by criminal elements within the military-industrial-financial complex.

Letting Go: The Practice of Compassionate Effort

with John Orr, former Theravada Buddhist monk

In our rapidly changing world there are times when all of us are asked to let go. Whether it be letting go of family and friends as we go off to college or move, letting go of a relationship or job  that is no longer appropriate for us, or letting go of our aging bodies as we and loved ones approach the later stages of life. A wise teacher once suggested that we cannot let go of that which we haven t accepted. By resting in the open heart and being mindful of when we may be contracting around difficult states of body and mind, we learn to invite release and letting go. We do not  try  to let go, as much as invite release, born of love. Our evening together will include chanting, guided meditation and exploration of this ancient practice of  Letting Go .

John Orr   is a former  Theravada Buddhist  monk who lived in Thailand and India for eight years. He has been teaching meditation and leading retreats internationally since 1980. John is a guiding teacher for the  New Hope Sangha and is a retired teacher at Duke University.   John has been deeply affected by his contact with the healer John of God and leads groups to his center, the Casa d Dom Inacio, in Brazil. Further information  about our November 16-18 Meditation Retreat in Chapel Hill go to  www.newhopesangha.org  and JohnOrr108@gmail.com.

In the words of the Thai Meditation Master Ajahn Chah

Do everything with a mind that lets go.
Do not expect any praise or reward.
If you let go a little, you will have a little peace.
If you let go a lot, you will have a lot of peace.
If you let go completely, you will know complete peace and freedom.
Your struggles with the world will have come to an end.

CLIMATE DESTABILIZATION: OUR LONG SLOW EMERGENCY

VIDEO & DISCUSSION NIGHT ~ 2nd Sunday of each month, 6:30-8:30pm

We are at a crossroads in our history. We are on the precipice of destroying our habitat, the very earth that gives us sustenance and supports life. Our multiple challenges of climate change, deforestation, overgrazing, fisheries collapse, food insecurity, and the rapid extinction of species are all part of a single, over-arching problem: Humanity has overshot the carrying capacity of the Earth.

Join with others willing to honestly face our situation and have the most important discussion of our lives: how we pull out of our ecological nosedive and transition to a life-affirming global culture, an earth community of sustainability, justice, and peace!

We show a different video each session and discuss a range of important issues and options to address them.

For detailed information on each session, see https://betseydowning.com/upcoming-events/ . Information will be posted 5-6 days prior to the event.

Body-meditation:A Tool For Curing So-Called Plantar Fasciitis Heel Pain

Body meditation for optimal movement is not about physical exercise. It is not about making strenuous efforts. It’s about awakening your body-awareness. It’s about learning to quietly listen. Body meditation is about learning to listen to the power of silence. Modern technology has not helped with this listening process, You need no tools, apart from patience and quiet, to carry out these simple and insightful, exercises. Designed to take you back to the ease of movement you enjoyed as a youngster.

My body-awareness journey started over 30 years ago. I was studying the
Bruce Lee fighting style, Jeet Kune Do. The underlying philosophy of this martial art is simple: “Adapt what is useful, reject what is useless, and add what is specifically
your own.”

I was more recently re-introduced to the power of body-awareness by the
Feldenkrais Method. Subsequent studies of body movement techniques certainly worked for my eight year research journey into the mysteries of acute morning
heel pain. For which there is no consensus as to the cause. My research led me to conclude that a more appropriate name for this condition is nociceptive foot pain
(NFP). NFP heel pain has nothing to do with inflammation of the plantar fascia. It is a warning signal, by our nervous system, that we need to change the way we move, or
serious injury will ensue. It would appear that this condition generally arises due to issues in our hips.

Dr. Kevin Morgan: A retired veterinary research scientist. Born in 1943, raised in
post-war England, he learned to be self-reliant. Kevin completed the
Lake Placid Ironman for the fifth time in 2011, at age 68, as the only person in the world to complete such a race with an abdominal aortic aneurysm stent graft. When
asked why he continues these grueling races, he replies, I love the life-style, and it keeps me out of assisted living! An avid gardener, Dr. Morgan lives on a plant-based diet, and works to solve aging and exercise-induced aches and pains.

Close Encounters of the 5th Kind (CE-5)
Human-Initiated-Contact
Video and 20-minute Meditation

with Oasis founder Robert Roskind, author of A Guide for an Awakening Planet

CE-5 stands for Close Encounters of the Fifth kind which means that it is possible for us “humans” to invoke encounters with extraterrestrial life forms. It is what we call Human Initiated Contact. The term CE-5 was created by Dr. Steven Greer. He is the founder of the CSETI project and is the worlds most renowned researcher in regard to extraterrestrial life. Dr. Steven Greer has also been fighting for more than 20 years against the UFO secrecy that is being kept in place by many governments and against the military and industrial complex who want to keep the ET technology hidden from public because it would mean the end of our fossil fuel consumption as we know it.

Also, there will be several videos of Steven Greer and Grant Cameron with them discussing the Star People’s proven reality and how there are no “evil aliens,” only those who are assisting us in transforming our planet from fear to love and providing technology that will allow us a pollution-free, healthy future.

KRATOM: A Leaf of Faith

Documentary filmmaker Chris Bell has built his career on investigating drug-related issues that plague athletes and the general public. Best known for Bigger, Stronger, Faster, a bold expose of steroid use by top competitive athletes — including his own ‘doping’ to gain muscle in his pursuit as a body builder — Bell is back with a documentary that addresses wide spread addiction worldwide, and especially in the US, to opioid painkillers. Having reached epidemic proportions, opioid addiction is currently one of the top causes of death in the U.S. — ranging from heroin (an opioid) overdose to abuse of synthetic opioids to withdraw from heroin addition and prescription of addictive opoids to relieve chronic pain.

STAGGERING STATISTICS

Bell’s documentary reveals the staggering statistics, and goes on to describe and advocate for an alternative substance — the Kratom leaf, harvested from a plant, Mitragyna speciosa, that grows abundantly in Southeast Asia, where it has for centuries been brewed into tea and used for mood elevation and to ease pain, without reported incidents of addiction or death.

THE QUEST FOR A SOLUTION

The documentary chronicles Bell’s quest for a full status report on Kratom’s standing with physicians, pharmacists, marketers, patients and various government agencies including the FDA and DEA. He finds varying opinions about the effectiveness, safety and need for regulation of Kratom, which is currently being sold over the counter in health food stores and head shops. The bottom line is that there have not yet been clinical tests to determine the effects and effectiveness of Kratom, so all opinions — including commentaries based on personal experience with the leaf — are is somewhat speculative, but it is generally agreed that there must be regulations regarding product authenticity and quality, and the requirement for accurate product labeling put into place.
