The International Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers is an alliance formed by 13 wise women moved by their concern for our planet. This film, shot on location over four years in the Amazon rainforest, the mountains of Mexico and at a private meeting with the Dalai Lama, documents their unparalleled journey and their timeless wisdom about a world in crisis. We, the International Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers, represent a global alliance of prayer, education and healing for our Mother Earth, all her inhabitants, all the children, and for the next seven generations to come. We are deeply concerned with the unprecedented destruction of our Mother Earth and the destruction of indigenous ways of life. We believe the teachings of our ancestors will light the way through an uncertain future. We look to further our vision through the realization of projects that protect our diverse cultures: lands, medicines, language and ceremonial ways of prayer and through projects that educate and nurture our children.
Go Conscious Earth was founded by Godi Godar Moteke Molanga, who grew up in the Bantomba tribe on Lac Tumba in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), then called Zaire. Godi Godar is the grandson of Moteke Bihio, the Chief of Ikoko Bonginda, a village in the Lac Tumba Region of the DRC.
Godi is founder of Go Conscious Earth, a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness about the devastation that logging and extraction of conflict minerals is causing in his home country of Democratic Republic of the Congo. Go Conscious Earth’s vision is to respect nature, preserve ancestral land, and protect the rainforest ecosystem by supporting sustainable and healthy lives for the people who live there. Together with Dilo Assistance (a Congolese NGO) and Bantomba tribal leaders, Go Conscious Earth is working to acquire the land rights to the Bantomba ancestral lands in the Lac Tumba region, in the heart of the Nsoli rainforest. They’ll hold the conservation agreement to these lands and partner with international NGOs to help preserve the environment and the way of life for the Bantomba and Pygmy people. He is currently searching for a publisher for the memoir he is writing about his life and his ongoing efforts to preserve the Congolese rainforest.

A Cosmic Look at the Trump Presidency
with Dan May and Robert Roskind
Dan May: My vision of what I want to talk about: Is there a way to be at peace and feel our power and joy during these times of political and social upheaval? Is there a way to look at the events in the news and in our lives with a sense of purpose and love? I think there is. Warning: The ideas may seem radical but if you are ready to have your ego rattled come and join us for another way of being present for life!
Robert Roskind: No matter who won the election, the result would bring out much anger, despair and frustration. However, to do the work we incarnated here to do, as soon as possible we have to go past these understandable feelings to the peace and clarity of our love, our compassion, our humanity..
It helps me to strive to remember that every great teacher of love showed by example that you cannot teach love coming from anger, judgement and blame. MLK, Jr., Gandhi, Mandela, Tutu, Mohammed Ali, the Dalai Lama, Jesus, Buddha, and others understood that you can passionately stand up to misguided power but to create the transformation that is truly needed you must not do so with hate and anger. Righteous indignation, yes, but personal anger towards misguided brothers and sisters, no.
MLK, Jr, once referred to a death threat from “some of my sick white brothers.” In these six words, he revealed great truths. It was “some” not all, they were “sick” not evil and they were his “brothers” not his enemies.
In transforming this much-suffering planet, I feel guided to do the same – go past my anger into my love and – as best I can – complete the one/seven billionth of the sacred task I was assigned and I volunteered to do.

She’s paired as well with Andrew Marlin of Mandolin Orange on “Love’s Dream” a recent album where she brings in people from the musical community to add depth and beauty to the mix. Most recently she did a CD called “Great Change” where she put music to the poems of Bhau Kalchuri (close disciple of Meher Baba). This album reflects the time we are living in and gives courage and comfort to us as we face necessary changes within and without.
Gabriella and Machai Saint Rain make up the duet “Sapphire” which has played a few times at “Oasis”. Now, with Machai traveling in Antarctica(!)
